The reports of over 100,000 dead from the horrific recent typoon that hit this country last week, have been plain shocking.

It opens early August and I CANNOT wait. James Franco is in it and he’s my new celebrity boyfriend, don’t ya know (licks lips evily). I even have a picture of him from a photo-shoot he did for French Vouge on my nightstand (yes, I know I’m a dork).
What can I say? There’s just something about chin-length hair on a guy (Johnny Depp!) that gets me everytime.
Plus, M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” kick-ass song (which btw is sampled from a Clash song) is in the trailer, so you’re pretty much required to love this movie.

It was just published yesterday, and it talks about all the really exciting and varied options there are (stem cells, olfactory cells, estim, schwann cells, pharmeceuticals, ‘aggressive PT,’ and gene therapy) to hopefully treat SCI, and soon find a cure/treatment.
Advances offer hope for spinal cord injured patients
It’s just good to see this kind of stuff in the news.
The more public awareness on SCI, the better! For real! We can’t let Paris Hilton, pointless primary coverage, and news on Scarlett Johanson’s engagement hog the news ALL the time.
