Sex and The City: The Movie

Posted by Tiffiny on Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Sooooo…it probably comes as no surprise that I’m a huge devotee of Sex & The City, so when “SITC: The Movie” come out last Friday (OMG squee!) I was needless to say elated beyond any helium balloon.

Saw the fashion frenzy, sex/relationship obsessed film on Saturday with a gf, dressed to the ‘9s, and utterly, completely fell in love.

Bottom line? The movie ain’t perfect. It may even stray away from it’s roots, but it’s poignant, real, and hysterical.

I will miss these characters for the rest of my days.

I loved it too! I thought they did a great job of staying true to the series. which parts do you feel they strayed?
and it wasn’t corny or hoaky like a t.v.-to-bigscreen could be. ya know?
great times.

luvved it!

mandi, when carrie forgave big and went back to him, and than got married. the movie is about being fabulous and single, and it ended w/ everyone married…except samantha of course.

douglas, i dont think carrie ever in her life would entertain the idea of going to a sci-fi comvention :)

tiff, I don’t completely agree that it is about them being Fabulous AND Single. Fabulous, Yes. but, it’s about the sex lives/relationships of those four Fab women. through the years there were various degrees of relationships in all four of ‘em. their sex lives obviously being effected by that main factor. constantly different things are shuffled around on their priority lists. Big’s screw up was expected. that’s who he was.

I can’t believe I have this much to say about this! ha

anyhow, if everything had been peachy and they got married in a “happily ever after” way…..I would be disappointed.

i see your point, mandi. i guess i just never liked big :/
